Raven's Home Bringing the Reboots

On Friday, July 21st the That's So Raven reboot premiered on Disney Channel. The new show titled,

Raven's Home follows a now adult Raven Baxter (Raven Symone) and her longtime best friend, Chelsea Daniels (Anneliese van der Pol) as they try to raise their respective children as single mothers under one roof. The first episode did a great job of setting up the dynamic for the rest of the series while also leaving us with enough plot holes and questions to want to come back for more.

Like will Devon and Raven be able to resolve their issues? Will we find out more about Chelsea's husband? What happened to Eddie, Corey and Raven's parents?

One thing I do know for sure, is that Raven's home is just a start to some of the reboots planned for Nick and Disney.

Nickelodeon:

Hey Arnold- Our favorite football head is making his way back to the screens. Arnold, Harold, Helga, and the infamous Stoop Kid are coming back for final television movie. The movie, Hey Arnold: The Jungle Movie, takes the audience full circle to where it kind of began. Fans of the show known that Arnold's parents went on a trip to the jungle and never returned. Thus, we got Arnold living with his grandparents in the apartment complex we've come to know and love. Now, Arnold is returning to the jungle on a special adventure and may uncover more about his parents.  The exclusive first-look was released at SanDiego Comic Con is now available online and below.

Rocko's Modern Life: Static Cling TV special - Nick couldn't bring back one animated classic without bringing back another. Rocko's Modern Life is also making a triumphant return to television after its eight-year run came to an end back in 1996.

Laguna Beach- Technically, Laguna Beach isn't coming back, and technically it isn't on Nick, but MTV is owned by the same company, Viacom, and the new show called "Siesta Key" is meant to be the new Laguna Beach of this generation located on the beaches of Florida.

Disney:

Sister Sister- Both Tia and Tamera Mowry have openly spoken about wanting to create a reboot for their show Sister Sister.  Recently, as more shows from the past are coming back they have been more deliberate in their pursuit in gaining a team to bring their wants, and the wants of the fans, to life.

The Incredibles 2-  The entire cast of The Incredibles came out at Disney's expo, D23 to talk about the upcoming 2018 film. First footage was released and promises to focus on Jack-Jack and him coming into his superpowers (yes, years later and he's still a baby) as well as Mrs.Incredible/Carr training for her own adventure as Mr.Incredible is the parent this time around.

Mickey Mouse Club- Unless you were a true early 90s kid or had older siblings who told you about it then you're probably in the dark about this show. "The Mickey Mouse Club," no not the Disney Junior show Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, was a variety show for young preteens but at the end of the show, the stars of the skits would perform musical numbers. It's where such stars like Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Ryan Gosling and more got there start.
